We are delighted to, once again, present this fantastic ex-military 90 for sale, having previously sold it in 2015. Here was the original advert……

This is, in our opinion, a really nice ex military Land Rover 90. It was only released from forces in 1999, and since that time has only had two former keepers. The mileage of 128,292 kilometres, is backed up by MOTs dating back to military release, and this equates to a genuine 79,716 miles…..very low for a 28 year old vehicle!
Unusually, this vehicle, though an early example, has power steering…..which really does make it feel like a modern 90 in comparison to non assisted examples. There are other creature comforts too, like a headliner, rear window conversion with twin rear bench seats for the kids, and a Bluetooth stereo and speakers which can actually be heard!
As an ex military example, it comes with some nice additional features….the chunky military tyres and wheels, Military light lenses which look the part, bonnet tie down catches, rear bumperettes, rear mounted spare, and on the inside a convoy light switch and interior convoy light, aluminium door tops and a height adjustable tow bar making it ideal to work as well as play.
The chassis and bulkhead are in unusually good order, the vehicle having been stored undercover for most of its life. On road experience is very pleasing, with direct, light steering, and pin sharp brakes (for a 90!).

There is a good file of documents including service and maintenance receipts showing professional maintenance over the civilian ownership (includes a steering box, timing belt and bills for several hundred on several occasions).

This then, is a well presented, low mileage, power steering, original ex military 90, ready to drive away and show/work/enjoy.

Now, in 2017, we note that this superb 90 has been kept in super condition – the bulkhead and particularly the chassis are rock solid, and therefore this vehicle would be ideal for those wishing to keep it for a good while, without the imminent worry of re chassising – indeed, this is a numbers matching vehicle, and therefore qualifies for US export.

The mileage now shows 142,000 KM, which equates to around 88,000 miles – and it really shows – the engine sparks into life with a short amount of heat, and it sounds really nice for a diesel of this age. It is also smoke free, right from cold!

Early 90s are in high demand, but finding really solid and useable examples is extremely hard. This then, is a rare find, and perhaps the nicest, early, non ECU, power steering tru k we’ve had. It was only released in 1999 from forces, and this perhaps is why it stands out from any other early, civilian 90. Even the stereo works, and the new front seats look great.
