The Land Rovers ® for sale in our range are all thoroughly road tested, have a current MOT and are inspected in house via our detailed custom inspection. Any works identified are undertaken, fluid and oil levels are attended to, and the Land Rover ® is cleaned and prepared.

Founder, Director & Classic Land Rover® Expert – BA Hons QTS
John Brown Snr is the Founder and Director of John Brown 4×4, established in 2004. His involvement with Classic Land Rovers® began more than 30 years ago when John trained under the watchful eye of one of the country’s most respected vintage Land Rover ® experts.
Today, John continues to work closely with John Brown Jnr and the wider team, offering technical support, customer guidance and decades of practical experience. He co-ordinates the mechanics, passing on the knowledge he has acquired over the last 20 years. John personally test drives every Land Rover ® we sell to ensure each vehicle meets required standards.

Lisa joined the team in 2024, after finally being persuaded to leave a very successful managerial position.
She brings over 26 years of experience and expertise to the company. Lisa co-ordinates staff and ensures everything runs smoothly on a day to day basis.
Director and Classic Land Rover® Specialist – L.L.B. Hons
John Brown Jnr oversees the day-to-day operations of the business and supports customers from around the world with the sourcing, purchase and ownership of Classic Land Rovers®. Having grown up around Land Rovers® from an early age, John has worked across all areas of the company since joining the business in 2015, developing hands-on knowledge of sales, purchasing, customer support and the wider Classic Land Rover® market. His approach is straightforward, customer-focused and rooted in the belief that Classic Land Rover® ownership should be enjoyable, informed and suited to each individual buyer.

Continuing our philosophy of a friendly, family based company, we are delighted to have Megan on board our expanding team.
Megan joined the company as a fully qualified Doctor. She brings a specialist range of interpersonal skills to the role.
Megan is responsible for international networking and promotion of the company.
Operations Manager
Chad is our longest serving member of staff, being with us since 2015, and is a very valuable member of the team. He recently graduated to Operations Manager, and is directly responsible for everything that occurs “on the ground” at HQ.
Chad has gained a wealth of knowledge during his time with the company, and his attitude to his role means he is happy to assist customers wherever possible in finding (and maintaining) their dream Land Rover®. His infectious personality creates an enviable working environment for the rest of the team.
Workshop Mechanic
Finn joined the team in early 2026, and has rapidly become an invaluable member of the team. He is a great all round mechanic, and is not fazed by any task, however new or complex. His enthusiasm and positive mental attitude is a great asset to the team at HQ.
General Workshop Technician
Mike joined the business with dedication and enthusiasm, and has learnt “on the job”. Mike spends his days in a variety of roles, but primarily finds himself in our paint shop where he is responsible for dealing with paint imperfections and blemishes. Mike’s role will shift as his in-house training progresses to a more workshop focused role, having a previous background in (modern!) vehicle mechanics.
Bodyshop Manager & Workshop Technician specialising in Bodywork & Detailing.
Aimee has always been interested in all things automotive, and joined us with a variety of skills in tow. Aimee is not afraid to roll her sleeves up wherever required and tackles all jobs with precision and dedication. Aimee’s eye for detail has seen her take on a bodyshop focused role, now leading the bodyshop team at John Brown 4×4.
Auto Electrician
Graham Mackey is an independent auto-electrician based in Masham, North Yorkshire. Graham is always on hand to help us with any wiring issues, fitting of ancillary components, and general troubleshooting of electrical faults. He has worked with the team at HQ since 2016.
