Here for sale we have this smart Series 2a, in the ex-military style. The exterior has many period features, such as the military front lifting eyes and bonnet catches, vintage numberplates, front towball for additional manoeuvrability, and side lights incorporated into the main beam lights. The canvas is a recent addition, and a swing away wheel carrier has been fitted to the tailgate to house the spare. The vehicle is equipped with a rear towpack to allow towing. The vehicle sits on larger modular wheels and tyres – these extend the gearing to give slightly more relaxed cruising, giving the effect of an overdrive out on the tarmac. 

On the inside, the vehicle houses 3 deluxe front seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. A heater is also fitted and is working, which is a desirable addition. The rear is unfitted but could house bench seats upon request for £295. The interior is largely standard, which is nice to see.

Out on the road, this old girl gives a pleasing period driving experience, aided by the larger rubber. The petrol engine is a quiet unit, which starts keenly and goes just as it should. With the military styling, she really turns heads wherever she goes.
