MOT until 25th August 2018. Will be MOT exempt after this point. Tax Exempt. 300TDI engine conversion. Right Hand Drive. Stainless steel fuel tank.

Here for sale we are delighted to present this smart 101 Forward Control, in original military colours. On the outside, the vehicle retains many of its period features, such as the military bridging plate and NATO hitch. The vehicle retains its original hood and stick configuration, as per the General Service variants.

On the inside, the interior is standard throughout, housing 2 standard seats for the driver and front seat passenger. The rear, although unfitted could house bench seats to increase the seated occupancy. A full size spare is stowed behind the passenger seat. There is a front winch which can be operated from inside the vehicle – it is cleverly stowed below the grill on the front of the vehicle.

Out on the road, the 300TDI pulls very well, similar to the original engine……the power to weight ratio is excellent and it feels very nimble. The benefit of such a conversion is a similar power output to the V8 but with greater reliability and fuel economy. A recent stainless steel fuel tank has been fitted which not only gives a lasting finish, but also looks great too!
