We are delighted to present for sale this Land Rover® Lightweight, which we have sold previously. We are always keen to buy back previous vehicles when the opportunity arises to do so – as we know them to be of our standards. This Lightweight has all of its military history too, with its original factory build record, which is rare to see and desirable.

On the outside, this lightweight has good visual appeal, and retains many original features, including military lighting, bonnet mounted spare, military 750 tyres (sound great, look great, fantastic off road, and up gear the vehicle giving the feeling of an overdrive), front lifting eyes, front bumperettes, free wheeling hubs, front towbar,  split rear tailgate and under arch toolbox.

On the inside there are three front seats (a benefit of the 12v machine), and to the rear there are twin bench seats, which mean you can take the whole family for a jaunt! In the front, the dash is all nice and original and standard, with everything one would hope to see – the heater with heater tubes, the flyscreens (often missing), the correct wiper motor cover and extinguisher where it should be – all nice to see.

Out on the road, this vehicle drives just as it should – the larger rubber gives longer gearing and better cruising, and the free wheeling hubs aid economy. It gives a pleasant period driving experience.

In summary, if you are looking for an original, unrestored and unmolested Land Rover® Lightweight, then this could be for you. With tax and MOT exemption, classic insurance and seating for all the family, it should be cheap to run and be practical to use too.
