For sale, Land Rover® 90 in Keswick Green (1984)

Here for sale is a very early and rare classic 90, from the very beginning of production. It is fitted with the original 2500cc petrol engine, as was supplied back in the day –  As such this is a rare and early vehicle. 

The other very interesting feature of this early 90 is the galvanised cappings – later examples did not have this benefit, and as such, many are in poor condition where they have rotted through. It’s lovely to see that these galvanised cappings survive in good condition, and give a nod to the series heritage from which the idea arose. This transition between late 88″ and early 90 makes this a rare and interesting example. 

The bodywork on this truck is all completely original and has survived well, giving it a really fantastic patina from the last 30 plus years of use. The paintwork has not been redone, and it’s lovely to see the unpainted rivets on the body as it would have been. The way that the doors close, and the way that the shut-lines ‘marry up’ speaks volumes about the history of this vintage 90. Perhaps this has survived so well due to the low number of owners – just one former keeper, with the last one having owned it for 20 years….. usually, vehicles of this type have been well run into the ground by now, so a really early surviving example in this condition is almost rarer than a similar series vehicle! 

The interior is a dream, with a full, original headliner – very smart indeed…in fact the unmessed with feel continues on the inside. There is even a period stereo! Even the interior light works as it should from the original switch on the dash. As can be seen, the seats and trim are also pleasing. 

As this is an original vehicle with matching numbers it is eligible for US export – and with the exchange rate so favourable it would prove a good buy.

Benefits from an unleaded head and Polybushing. Chassis is fully undersealed to preserve it for the future.

A recent full and comprehensive service has just been done by us as part of the recommissioning process this includes –  replacement of ALL oils as well as engine oil and filter, new spark plugs, HT leads, distributor, new brake fluid, new anti freeze, new fan belt – so it’s ready to drive away and enjoy.
