As an early example of the 110 , 12 seater station wagon, this vehicle has survived in amazingly original condition – this is most probably due to the low number of former keepers – just 3, and the extremely low mileage for age at 132,060.

The previous keeper had a professionally installed 200tdi fitted, along with power steering, to generally modernise the driving characteristics. He felt this was worth doing, due to the unmolested nature of the whole vehicle – it having been stored inside for the majority of its working life. This does prevent it from being exported to the USA (although if you are reading this and would like to investigate this, we do have access to the originals, numbers matching engine).

Due to the sheltered life this vehicle has led, the interior and exterior have survived in really nice nick – the seats inside are all original, and despite the odd water mark (which I’m sure could be removed with products) the whole interior is just really nice – even the head liner. Externally, there is far less catalytic corrosion than one would expect, presumably from the indoor storage over the years. The chassis is also really good, having had minimal, but professional work (rear crossmember with extensions). It is dry though, and would benefit from sealing/protection for future – please see our accessories page for this service.

This then, is a straight, classic, original example of the early 110 12 seater with low miles, uprated with power steering and more reliable (powerful) engine, which still falls into old school mechanics and maintenance. With good chassis, bulkhead and bodywork, this is, indeed, a rare survivor….and hard to believe it is unrestored and 25 years old ! (classic insurance).
