For sale, Land Rover ® 101 Forward Control in Drab Olive (1975). 

We are delighted to present for sale this handsome right hand drive Forward Control. MOT exempt as of the 21st May. Tax exempt. Just one owner since release with documented military history- this includes spells with the Grenadier Guards, the Royal Scots Guards and the Coldstream Guards. This would therefore appeal to military enthusiasts as well as customers seeking to purchase  to use off-road or as a shoot vehicle.

This increasingly rare vehicle was released from service in 1993 and has had just one keeper since then. It survives, therefore, in original condition complete with the original V8 engine.

On the outside this truck sports all the features one would hope to see on a ‘good’ 101 – there are fuel carriers, pioneer tools, correct wheels and tyres plus all the other details as shown in the photographs. The paint finish is very good for a military vehicle and it is generally very tidy throughout.

The same story is true of the interior, which houses two front seats and the original side facing bench seats in the rear. The whole interior is completely standard, including the spare wheel which is stowed inside.

Out on the road this vehicle sounds and runs incredibly well, suggesting that the circa 22,000 kilometres (13,670 miles) could well be original. This extremely low milage is perhaps due to a late release from the forces and just one careful owner since that time.
