For sale, Land Rover® 90 in Masai Red (1996)

MOT until December 11th 2016.   Diesel 2495cc (300tdi) with power steering. Circa 137,000 miles, with only 4,000 covered since rebuild. Only 4 previous keepers.

This 90 has had a full, body off refurbishment in recent times, explaining the current condition. This involved much work, including sand blasting and enamelling the chassis, fully polybushed, 4 new springs and shocks, all new brake pipes and flexis, new headlights, new ball joints, new clutch, new timing belt and tensioners, new radiator, water pump, new mudflaps, all cavaties waxoyled, new windscreen seal etc etc. The original bodywork has been kept as it was, so it’s original, not resprayed. The previous owner never intended selling it, but owing to a change in circumstances, we are now pleased to find it a new home.

On the interior, there are three front seats, and the rear is unfitted. There is a stereo and speakers.  There is also a wooden steering wheel with uprated steel dash.The rear windows would make this an ideal conversion with a pair of bench seats (£295), so it could easily become a family runabout too. Externally, as the photos show, there are lots of nice extras – including handy side steps to help you get in, smart alloys, superb roof spotlights, a bar with spots, chequer plate wing tops and a towbar.

In summary, this is a thoroughly reworked 90, with good, original bodywork. It has been well cared for, and one would hope that despite the 20 or so years it’s been around, that with the recent works,  future expense would be lower than with a similar, original example.
