Land Rover® Series 3 *Recent Rebuild - Galvanised Chassis* (TUD)

For sale, Land Rover® Series 3 in Marine Blue (1979).

Will be supplied with 12 months MOT (exempt thereafter). Very recently rebuilt in July 2018 onto a Galvanised Chassis. Petrol 2286cc. Enormous folder of receipts including a full documentation of the rebuild process, which is itemised - receipts in excess of five figures for this alone, not including the cost of the vehicle. Free Wheeling Hubs. Deluxe Interior. Station wagon configuration with rear sliding windows.

We are delighted to present for sale this very handsome Series 3, rebuilt some 11 months ago at great expense.

On the outside, the bodywork is in straight order and the vehicle has some period features, such as rear mudflaps, vintage numberplates, rear grab handles and a recent front bumper for that 'fresh' look. There have been some useful additions made such as the defender style door mirrors, and the towball and electrics which are useful for towing. There are also a nice set of station wagon style sliding rear windows, which makes for a nice look.

On the inside, there are three recent standard seats, with deluxe matting to the footwells. The doors benefit from deluxe door cards, with armrest and also door pocket. The transmission tunnel has been covered too, to aid with sound deadening. The rear houses the spare, along with a pair of recent bench seats, so 7 people can be carried including the driver. The dash also is nice too - none of the usual sun cracking so its lovely to see this piece in great shape. There is also a red immobiliser key for security, which is a nice touch.

Out on the road, this vehicle really shines - driving as well as a period Series 3 is capable, partly in fact due to the work done and the money spent. The petrol engine is a dream, and under the bonnet is the same - nicely detailed and in keeping with the period style.

The money spent on this car is what really sets it apart from the others - and it really is lovely underneath. The chassis is only 11 months old, and below are just a few items done during the rebuild:

- New Footwells

- New Bulkhead Pillars

- New Fuel Tank

- New Halogen Headlights

- New Track Rod Ends and Swivels

- New Exhaust

- New Exhaust Manifold

- All new brakes

- New Rocker Cover, full engine service, head removed and cleaned, all levels topped up

- Refurbished Carburettor

In summary then, if you are looking for a recently rebuilt Series 3 which is future proofed, but without the large cost entailed in having one built for yourself, then this is for you. At well under half the price of a new build, it shows a huge saving and with upcoming MOT and tax exemption (with classic insurance) should prove cheap to run in the future.
